Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 April 2026
These terms form the agreement between you (the customer) and WriteEasy (us, we, our) when you use our website at www.writeeasy.co.uk and our service.
We've written these in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email support@writeeasy.co.uk and we'll explain.
1. Who we are
WriteEasy is an AI-assisted writing service for small businesses, operated from Unit 11 Newhaven Enterprise Centre, Denton Island, Newhaven, East Sussex, BN9 9BA, United Kingdom. Contact: support@writeeasy.co.uk.
2. Your account
You sign in using a 6-digit code we email you. You're responsible for the email inbox you use to sign in — anyone with access to it can access your WriteEasy account. Don't share sign-in codes.
You must be at least 18, acting on behalf of yourself or a business you're authorised to represent.
3. Subscription and billing
- New accounts get a 7-day free trial. We don't charge anything during the trial.
- After the trial, the subscription is £10 per month, billed in advance via Stripe. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
- We don't give partial-month refunds for the current period, but you're welcome to message us and we'll look at it on a case-by-case basis if something's gone wrong.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use WriteEasy to:
- Produce content that's illegal, hateful, defamatory, or deceptive.
- Impersonate another person or business, or write fake reviews.
- Generate spam, phishing messages, or scam content.
- Try to reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or rebadge the service.
- Abuse the service through automated requests or attempts to bypass usage limits.
If we believe you're breaking these rules we can suspend or close your account. For serious breaches we may do so without notice.
5. Your content
You own what you type into WriteEasy (your briefs) and what it generates for you. We don't claim any ownership of your output and we don't use it to train AI models.
For the service to work, your briefs and business profile are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate each piece. We keep enough of a log to operate and support the service; see our Privacy Policy for detail.
You're responsible for what you publish. AI can make mistakes — always read the output before you post it. We're not liable for anything you choose to publish.
6. Our service
WriteEasy is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, bug-free, or that a given piece of output will be suitable for your purpose. We may change features, add templates, or pause the service for maintenance.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under UK law.
Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the total fees you've paid us during that period. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss (lost profit, lost business, lost reputation).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
9. Ending the agreement
Either of us can end this agreement at any time. You do it by cancelling from the Billing page. We do it by closing your account (we'll explain why unless it's a security matter).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.
